Let’s be honest, SAME Café is a great nonprofit model, but a terrible for-profit model. We do not make enough to afford all that we give which is why we fundraise to make up the difference. With the support of generous donors, we are able to operate more efficiently and reach a wider audience. This allows us to serve our community more effectively.

Our funding model follows the following budget goals:

• 1/4 of revenue from food sales
• 1/4 of revenue from individual donors 
• 1/4 of revenue from grants
• 1/4 of revenue from events
  

Just like any other nonprofit, SAME thrives off of fundraising. We take great pride in the events we host to aid in this process and appreciate every individual donor and major grant contribution we receive. More on this can be found in Roadmap to SAME Café Your Town.
